John E. Beckwith Jr. CFSP a native of Dallas, Texas has been a Funeral Director and Embalmer for over 23 years and License Insurance and Pre-need agent. He is the Owner and Chief Executive Officer for Beckwith Inc., which is comprised of, Golden Gate Funeral Home in the Dallas, TX and Beckwith Golden Gate Funeral Home in Tallulah, Louisiana and coming soon Golden Gate Funeral Home in Ft. Worth, TX. Under the leadership of John E. Beckwith Jr., Beckwith Inc. has expanded to a staff of over 80 full time employees and 20 part time employees.

John E. Beckwith Jr. holds a Degree in Applied Science in Funeral Services from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Services. He is a graduate of the Dallas County Police Academy and is a student of Seminary. He serves as a Captain Deputy Constable for Dallas County Precinct One, where he also serves as a Firearms Instructor.

John is a member of the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association where he serves as a member of the House of Representatives and the Co-Chairman of the Political Action Committee.  He is also, very active in his local, state and district funeral directors associations.  He is a Board Member of the Texas Independent Funeral Directors Association.  He is a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner and a member of Epsilon Nu Delta Mortuary Fraternity.  John is a Commissioned Admiral in the Texas Navy.

John is an advocate of providing and sponsoring varies outreach programs within his community.  For individuals who are interested in pursing a career in the Funeral Industry he offers a  “Ride Along Program.”  The “Ride Along Program” provides individuals the opportunity to observe Golden Gate Funeral Home’s business practices and procedures first hand.  He provides complimentary Limousine services to local pastors, local schools and varies organizations. 
To assist families during the holiday season, John provides Turkey dinners at Thanksgiving and toy give away at Christmas for needed families within his community.  He is an annual volunteer for Meals on Wheels on Christmas Day.
In memory of his mother Matriarch Allene Beckwith, he is a sponsor of Mount Rose Baptist Church’s Annual Health Fair.

As a certified Tae Kwon Do Black Belt, he enjoys mentoring youth in the martial art.  For teens and young adults John sponsors and coaches the Golden Gate Funeral Home’s Undertakers Flag Football team. He provides sponsorship to varies little league teams within his community and to honor the community high schools “State Championship” victories he is a sponsor of their celebration and parade days.

John is a motivational speaker favorable noticed by Pastors and Clergy  accepts speaking engagements locally and across the nation at churches and special events throughout the year.  Also recognized for his positive impact to his community and the Dallas Metroplex, John is invited to speak frequently at Teen Awareness Conferences, School and Community Career Days and varies other conferences. 

John is a strong believer in God and is a faithful member of the Mount Rose Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas where he is the Executive Assistance to the Pastor Bishop Jeffrey D. Thomas Sr.

He is also an active supporter and participant at the St John Missionary Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas under the leadership of Dr. Denny D. Davis, where he serves on the Security Ministry.
